BLINDS, by the BLINDS developer. Last updated 12 October 2026.

The short version

BLINDS keeps your progress on your own device. We do not run adverts and we do not sell or share personal information. The game sends anonymous usage counts to help us improve it (you can switch this off), and the leaderboards show the name you choose.

What stays on your device

Your coins, diamonds, trophies, level, purchased items, settings and any username-and-password account you create in the game are saved only on your device. Passwords are stored in a scrambled (salted and hashed) form. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data removes all of this.

Online matches

When you play online, your device connects to our match server. The server passes game messages between you and your opponent: your board, the numbers called, pause and rematch requests, preset chat messages, and the player name, character, trophy count and level shown on the match-up screen. These messages are passed on and not stored.

Like any internet service, the server sees your IP address while you are connected. It is used only to keep the service running and to limit abuse (for example, too many connections from one address), is kept in memory for a few minutes, and is not written to a database. Our hosting provider (Render) may keep its own technical logs.

Leaderboards

TOP 100 (trophies and wins): if you sign in with Google or Discord, the game posts your chosen player name, character, level, trophies and wins to the leaderboard, linked to your Google or Discord account ID. Anyone playing BLINDS can see the name, character and scores. Deleting your account in the game also removes you from these boards.

Daily BLINDS: when you finish the daily match, the game posts your player name, character, score and streak to that day's board. If you are signed in, it is linked to your Google or Discord account ID; otherwise to a random ID made by the game on your device (not your phone's own IDs). Each day's board is deleted after 8 days.

Friends

The game makes a random friend code on your device. While the game is open it tells our server your friend code, player name, character, trophies and level, whether you are in a match, and the friend codes on your list, so your friends can see you online and invite you. Your friends see your name, character, trophies, level and whether you are online. Who is online and invites are kept in the server's memory for about a minute. Your name, character, trophies and level are kept with your friend code so friends see them when you are offline; anyone who adds you is told to you once and then removed. Removing a friend happens on your device.

Usage statistics

The game sends anonymous events to our server, such as "a match started", "the tutorial was finished" or "the shop was opened", together with the game version, the language and a random ID made by the game. The server only adds them up into daily totals (for example, how many players came back the next day). It does not keep the random ID or any record of what one player did. You can turn this off in Settings > Share usage stats.

Sign in with Google or Discord

If you choose to sign in with Google or Discord, you sign in on that company's own page. We receive only your account's ID number and display name. Our server holds them for up to 10 minutes so the game can collect them, then discards them; after that only the leaderboard entries above are kept. We never see your password, email address, contacts or anything else in your account.

Google Play Games

On Android, BLINDS can use Google Play Games for sign-in and achievements. This is run by Google under Google's privacy policy; we only tell it which achievements you unlocked.

Reminders

If you allow notifications, the game schedules one reminder on your phone when a new Daily BLINDS starts. This happens on your device; nothing is sent to us. You can switch it off in Settings.

Purchases

Diamond packs are bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment; we never see your card or payment details. The game is told only that a purchase was completed.

Children

BLINDS does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The game has no free-text chat; online messages are chosen from a fixed list.

Your choices

You can play without signing in and without playing online. To remove your data, delete your account in the game (Profile > DELETE ACCOUNT), then clear the game's data or uninstall it. To withdraw a Google or Discord sign-in, also remove BLINDS from your Google or Discord account's connected apps.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
